Community Planting Day, Saturday, October 11

The Eastown Community Association (ECA) Discover Tourism Grant Program (DTGP) Project Team is partnering with Plaster Creek Stewards to plant native plants in the planter where the Grand River Bands of Ottawa Indians Michigan Historical Marker and Interpretive Sign will be placed.

This event is a family-friendly morning of community-building, learning, and action. Enjoy free donuts & coffee and a brief presentation about loving the place in which you live by noticing the Grand River Bands of Ottawa Indians footpaths in the area at the Covenant Fine Arts Center at Calvin University between 8:30 and 10 am. Afterwards you will have a chance to get your hands dirty while doing some native planting in the container located in the ROW at the corner of Lake Drive and Robinson Road SE (1405 Lake Drive SE) in Eastown between 10 am and Noon.
