Historic Eastown Walking Tour

Put on your walking shoes, grab your cell phone, and meet at the Wilcox Park sign—located by the intersection of Robinson Road and Woodmere Avenue SE—this Saturday, June 7, at 10 am sharp. This 90-minute journey through time and space will start around 10 BC, end in 1980, and cover around 3.3 miles of trails, side roads, and paved sidewalks. We will stop at spend a bit of time at a number of different sites to learn about their significance. At the same time, attendees will use their cell phones to access historic images of objects, maps, and photographs associated with the Eastown neighborhood. We hope to see you there!
