The ECA is dedicated to building, backing, and broadening community through proactive neighboring and community improvement. The ECA continues to build, back and broaden the community by:

• Sponsoring neighborhood cleanups
• Hosting community social events
• Enlisting volunteers and employing their time and talents
• Reporting and recording housing code violations
• Establishing block clubs and encouraging proactive neighboring
• Envisioning and initiating strategies for Eastown's future
• Planting a community garden and planning for more green spaces
• Working in partnership with the Eastown Business Association (EBA)
• Collaborating with local colleges on student centered concerns
• Promoting and petitioning for the traffic calming devices and designs
• Helping homebound and low income residents find support services
• Celebrating community with the Streetfair and Bizarre Bizaar
• Seeking "ways and means" to enhance and expand community outreach
• Working to reduce crime and provide alternative activities for our "at risk" youths
• Publishing and distributing a quartly newsletter, The ACCESS
