Neighborhood Soccer League

Posted on: June 3, 2015 | Posted in: News

Grand Rapids residents have been working to develop a Grand Rapids neighborhood soccer league. The hope is to develop neighborhood or community-based teams that meet in friendly competition. Across the City, friends and neighbors are working on setting up teams in their local geographies with the intention of “kicking off” the competition in July.

The league is designed for all abilities. Both men and women are welcome and encouraged to participate. The league and teams are designed to have a friendly, collaborative atmosphere that fosters community building in addition to friendly competition. While the details are still in flux, there may be a nominal fee to participate.

If you are interested in joining in Eastown, please contact Shannon Cunningham ( to confirm your interest. Please provide your name, e-mail, and the neighborhood in which you reside. As details will emerge, you will be informed of sign-up dates, meetings, and any other items.
